Heidi Pekarek (née Peterson), is the author of Ellen, Tales for Little Ears,
and A Flame Shall Spring from the Embers: A Sleeping Beauty Retelling. She is currently working on her fourth book and second full length novel.

Living happily with her husband and little girl in the Sierra Nevadas, she's a lover of wide-spreading land, summer dust, white pounding waterfalls, and mountain tops; also of good dark coffee and rich stories. Most of all she's a lover of the One who is the Word -- the Word made flesh.
